Ace King is a vastly over rated hand. Seeing the two high cards when you peek into your pocket is an unjustified reason for high hopes. I am very careful with this hand and will drop it fast. Position is everything when you hold Ace King. If you are on the Big Blind and do not have to call a raise then you are at least going to see the flop. but if you have to call more than one raise take a good look at the table. There may be a player who has called the blind that you know does not play with crap hands. If so, fold the Ace King. Take a count of the players who are still in the game. Is there someone there who might be trying to run a bluff? Has a good solid player that you respect called at least one raise? What is the size of your chip stack? Are you playing with their money? what is the size of the chip leaders stack? Did he call? Is he playing with your money? If almost all of them are likely to call and see the flop it is time for you to fold and watch the play to see if you can learn something about poker from their play.
You are not going to flop an ace or king over 70% of the time but it may be a good time to run a semi-bluff if you are in late position. it may cost you a few bucks but it will throw your opponents off by varying your play.
