Hi Lo Poker

Hi Lo games can be deadly to the pocket book. There may be some fool chasing the low hand that is raising every time that he can. Most especially if he can see by the board that no one else has a low hand. A little secret you should know, these type of guys always get paired up on the last card. Way too late to save you any money.

Qualify for Lo

Unlike the high hand that can be any old piece of crap that you can get away with a lo hand must qualify to get it's spit of the money. Most often the highest card that you can use in a low hand is an 8. The best low hand is A, 2, 3, 4, 5. It is the only hi and lo hand. It is a straight as well as being the perfect lo hand. There is always a high card winner but not always a low card winner. so it is in your best interest to keep your eye more on the high cards game than the low.

Unlike Texas Holdem there is no flop so you will not get to see a potentially completed hand after the second round of betting. You are dealt three cards. Two down and one up. The next three cards are dealt up. The last card is dealt down. Betting takes place after every card is dealt To say it can get real expensive is no exaggeration.
